Hi Ladies,
I hope all is well. Your sister in wellness has been gone for a minute, but I am here to announce that I am back and here to stay! Before we get started, let me take a moment to reintroduce myself. I am Dr. Lauren Rosenthall, DNP, APRN, CNL, FNP-C. Don’t let all those letters behind my name confuse you. Just know I am qualified and ready to serve you on your wellness journey. While I was away, I completed my Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree. While completing my doctoral degree, I gained additional knowledge and skills that focused on evidence-based research and innovative clinical practice that I will use to best serve you and my community. For my doctoral project, I chose a scholarly project that focused on innovative ways to use health education in community settings to improve the knowledge and self-efficiency of African American women seeking treatment for endometrial cancer. As you can see from the title of the scholarly project, even though I stepped away from posting on the She Chose Wellness website, I continued to focus on empowering women through health education to improve their knowledge and self-efficiency in seeking further evaluation and treatment for health concerns. If you’re interested in reading the scholarly paper and learning more about the health disparities African Americans face after being diagnosed with endometrial cancer, feel free to reach out to me for the link to download this information.
What’s next?
Here is what you can expect over the next few weeks. I’m taking you on my wellness journey, and we will discuss the daily routines and supplements you can use to help balance your hormones and take back control of your wellness journey. Many of you know that I experienced an unexpected hormonal imbalance a few years ago that resulted in me entering menopause earlier than expected. This hormonal imbalance resulted in weight gain, trouble sleeping, anxiety and so much more. I want to share with you what I’ve learned on my journey in seeking hormonal balance and I will share with you the evidence-based research that supports specific wellness routines that can help you with your wellness journey with hormonal imbalance. If you think this information doesn’t apply to you, be sure to check in next week. I’ll be sharing with you five reasons why you are more likely to experience menopause before your mother did and why it's important to focus on hormonal balance now! I am so happy to reconnect and for you to discover new ways you can achieve your goals on your wellness journey and make wellness your best accessory!
Your sister in wellness,
Lauren
